Welcome to the Relevance Community, we're so glad you're here! This is a place to share skills, ask for help, and talk about building AI workforces — with other members, and with Rellies (Relevance AI employees). These guidelines are how we keep it a decent, useful place to be. They apply in Slack, on the community site, and at Community events, online and in person. How the Relevance Community works The Relevance Community is powered by Tightknit, which converts a Slack workspace into a companion forum site. You are welcome to join our Community either by:
Joining the Slack workspace
Logging in via the companion forum site at community.relevanceai.com
Or both — if you log in to both, you'll have the same account as long as you use the same email address
Some Slack channels are synced to the companion forum site.
Channels like the Introductions, Announcements, and Questions channels are public on the companion forum site. If you post in these channels, they'll show up on the public forum site, and will also show up on Google searches
Private channels will be synced to the forum site but only accessible to those logged into the forum, who have access to these channels
Please keep this in mind while using the Community, and make sure you do not share any private / confidential data in spaces that are public! Our community values Our values here in the Relevance Community are inspired by our principles here at Relevance AI, which you can find on our careers page. Be truth-seeking. Say what you actually think. Share what's working and what isn't. However, honesty isn't a licence to be unkind — always treat people how you'd like to be treated! Let's find a way. Be constructive. Help people get unstuck. You get what you put in. We're humans, not agents. There's a human on the other side, with a different stack, a different level, a different day. Be patient with that. How we show up Assume positive intent. Sometimes it's hard to convey tone over text, so try to always assume someone has no ill will when chatting to you on the fly. Be the help you seek. Ask clearly, share what you've already tried, and mark when something actually solved it. Help the way you'd want to be helped. Disagree with the idea, not the person. Disagreement and discussion is fine. Name-calling, going after someone's competence, or responding to tone instead of content is not. Critique the product, not people. Honest, constructive feedback about Relevance is welcome. Having a go at Rellies, or other members, is not. If someone asks you to drop it, drop it. Keep it kind This is a harassment-free space — for everyone, including across gender, race, disability, religion, age, sexuality, and the tools they choose to use. No hate. Harassment, threats, discrimination, trolling, or personal attacks. Keep it clean. No sexualised language or imagery, and no unwelcome sexual attention. Protect privacy. Don't share other people's private information, or private messages, without their consent. Be yourself. No impersonation, fake accounts, or lying about who you work for. Keep confidential work confidential. Don't share another company's confidential work, customer data, API keys, or anything proprietary. If someone chooses to share their work in a private space, respect them by keeping it private within the space. No sales pitches. You're welcome to talk about other tools — compare notes, share what you've tried, say when something else fitted better. That's useful. If you offer services and someone has a problem you can genuinely help with: help first, mention what you do second. However, don't use the Community to start sales pitches, either in channels or Slack DMs. Mentioning what you do in #say-hi is fine. Spamming multiple channels and pitches to sell your product and services is not. Keep it tidy Always try to post in the right channel for your question / discussion, and use Slack's / the community's search capability to see if someone has already raised your question. Give the conversation a title and enough detail that someone can actually help — if you're asking for help in our Questions space, we'd appreciate screenshots, a Loom, what you already tried. Never share personal data / PI in a public space. Any posts sharing this data will be deleted to protect your privacy. Where things go These are our current public channels:
#say-hi / Introductions — introduce yourself
#questions — questions about the platform, how-tos, issues
#announcements — updates from the Relevance team
#random — everything else
Private channels Some channels and events are private, and only available to certain customer cohorts. Information and resources shared in these spaces are considered sensitive, and should stay within the cohort of Community members in those channels. Do not take these resources and share them with the broader public. Events The same guidelines apply at any Relevance AI events — online and in person. Treat people with dignity, courtesy, and respect. Harassment, including sexual harassment, bullying, and threatening behaviour, is not on. We want open discussion, including views that aren't yours. Listen as well as talk. At in-person events, if alcohol is served, drink responsibly. If you're unwell, stay home. If something happens at an event, tell a member of event staff (look for a badge, or find the registration desk), or email community@relevanceai.com. If you feel unsafe, we'll help. If something's off DM one of the Community team on Slack or email community@relevanceai.com. We review every report. We may warn, remove posts, or remove people. Repeated breaches can mean a permanent ban. We won't always tell you the outcome of a report you filed — that doesn't mean it was ignored. By participating in the Relevance Community, you agree to follow these guidelines. They sit alongside our Terms & Conditions: https://relevanceai.com/terms-and-conditions
